30 Days of HP: Day 3

[I’m doing two in one day because I have internet really sporadically, so I figure I should post while I can.]
Day 3: What house would you be in?
I have a really hard time with this. Obviously not Gryffindor, because I’m not super brave. I’m just not. I mean, I don’t have a problem standing up to my friends or people who are mistreating me, but I think Gryffindors are also about standing up for what’s right and stuff, and honestly, I’m not like that. I’d like to be, but I’m not. And I wouldn’t be in Hufflepuff because I’m not hardworking (although I like to think that I am loyal). I think I could probably talk my way into Ravenclaw, because I am smart (not to sound totally arrogant), and I do value intelligence and knowledge in people. But school isn’t the end all, be all for me, so I’m not sure I would really fit in with the Ravenclaws.
Basically, I can’t fight this nagging suspicion that I would be in Slytherin. Because I can be cunning, and I’m definitely shrewd, and when it comes to fighting and stuff, well … I have this saying that stupidity is often mistaken for bravery. Going to get reinforcements is practical, you know? I’m not power-hungry or evil, but I do think I have a lot of Slytherin qualities (I actually think the whole “I-don’t-put-up-with-crap-from-people” thing is a huge Slytherin quality), and I kind of think I’d end up there.
