I have returned!

I returned from my three-week vaca in Poland on Saturday.  I won't even get into the hellish trip home, except to say that my mom somehow does not see why it would be traumatic for a sixteen-year-old to get out of customs after a twenty-three hour journey (keeping in mind that she has not slept in over twenty-five hours, and the amount of sleep she has had before that was a grand total of four hours) and not be able to find the person who was supposed to pick her up, even though said person was supposed to be at the airport over an hour before!  But yeah, all that to say, it was a fun time.

It is very freeing not to have to wear long-underwear.  I wore a really short skirt yesterday and a sleeveless top. *sighs* I love living in So Cal!

In other news, I was recently informed that I won the one-shot contest at Beyond the Veil with my rather depressing drabble Condemned by a Name.  Go figure.  I won a nifty little banner to go with it.  Exciting times.

F.Y.I. (because I know you were all dying to know): If you ever think a guy isn't very attractive, just sit on a train with him for eleven hours.  After about six hours he'll look extremely appealing, and by the time you get off, he'll be the most beautiful man you've ever laid eyes on.  This is a little known effect of cabin fever.
