There was the tiniest part of me that was worried I was going to be disappointed, because my expectations were SO HIGH, but I wasn't AT ALL. I felt like I did the first time I watched Girl in the Fireplace, where I wanted to go find a bunch of people and be all WATCH THIS WATCH THIS NOW IS IT NOT WONDROUS. BECAUSE IT WAS.
And omg, Eleven had so many great lines in this! But the 'Basically... run' -- that whole sequence (and the whole thing with the other Doctors! I LOVED THAT) was like one giant SUCK IT to all the people who have been naysaying Matt for the past 14 months, because he was perfect, perfectly the Doctor and perfectly Eleven.
And Amy FILLS ME WITH INDESCRIBABLE GLEE, in part for the reasons you mentioned, And I'm afraid too, for Rory, but hopefully Moffat will find a balance. (I was wondering this morning if that whole laptop thing with Jeff means he's going to be the new Mickey, in terms of being... the Tin Dog. And stuff. You know?)
